Concept and design for Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition campaign. An institution within art, the RA's Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest and oldest - 245 years - open entry exhibition. The RA wanted to attract new audiences to reflect the changes within the institution in latest years.
We played with the idea of seeing the exhibition as a time capsule, as it reflects every year's trends and is a great snapshot of history. From there we came up with a simple 'Discover the New' and 'Discover the Now'. These against some striking artworks from this year display - Ian Davenport, Fiona Rae, Mike Perry among some less known artists, - make up some bold and confident posters.
